It has been announced that patients in England will soon be able to enter their symptoms online 
and receive advice or a call back from a health professional .
The new service will be outlined in a speech by Health Secretary James Hunt on Wednesday.
On new NHS.uk website patients will be able to book appointments, access their medical records and order prescriptions.
This is all part of the move towards a paperless NHS.
The new system will be an expansion of the current NHS111 service which is being developed by leading clinicians and will be piloted before the public can us it.
There will also be information on how well local health services are performing in areas of diabetes, learning disabilities and dementia services.
In the autumn information will be added on maternity, cancer and mental health.
