Most of us at some times have had trouble dropping of the sleep at night. Here are a few tips that might help.
- Make sure you wind down and put the day to the bed – don’t take the problems of the day into the night
- For at least a couple of hours before bed, don’t do anything related to work
- Write a to-do list before you go to bed
- Keep a pen and piece of paper beside your bed at night so you can jot down any ideas or worries that come into your mind
- Do not take your mobile phone into the bedroom
- When you wake up, get up – don’t hit the snooze button
- Keep your bedroom dark, quiet and cool
- Keep a window open
- The bedroom should be kept as a sanctuary for sleep. It is not your office, cinema or games room
