Each year the awareness week has a different theme and this year relationships has been chosen as maintaining good relationships is paramount to good mental health. It is acknowledged that good relationships are just as important to good mental health as lifestyle factors e.g. exercise, eating well or stopping smoking.

The Mental Health Foundation are calling on people to make a relationship resolution. They suggest that people should make more time for the friends, families and colleagues in their lives to improve their mental health. You can tell the Mental Health Foundation what your relationship resolution is as part of mental health week here: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/relationships/my-relationships-resolution

There is also a daily relationships challenge where people can text TIPS to 70300 to receive messages by text of suggestions of things they can do to improve their relationships.
