We had a great session in Basingstoke this week and this was the last session of the term. The children who attended played a variety of games which included basketball and football.
We had a couple of new children who settled in really well. One of them was very shy but within the first hour of club he had begun talking to other children and was making up games to play. His parents who attended the session with him were really pleased with the progress he made through just 1 session.
Some of the children enjoyed playing board games including draughts and chess. They really enjoyed playing against some of the volunteers.
A couple of the teenage girls enjoyed chatting in the corner of the room and making Easter crafts. It is nice for the children to act like all teenagers do and have a good gossip!
One of the basketball nets had a knot in it and the children spent a long time playing a game where they tried to untangle it with balls. This became a game of strategy and teamwork and in the end they succeeded.
We have had a great year at GO club!
